Job Summary:
As a Minibar Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring all guest rooms are fully stocked, accurately inventoried, and maintained to the highest luxury standards. Your attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to service will help create a seamless and elevated in-room experience for every guest.
Job Duties & Functions:
· Accurately check, restock, and rotate minibar items in all assigned guest rooms.
· Maintain precise inventory records and ensure correct posting of charges to guest accounts via the POS system.
· Ensure all minibar products are fresh, presented neatly, and meet brand quality standards.
· Remove expired, damaged, or opened products and report any discrepancies.
· Respond promptly to guest requests for additional minibar items or special orders.
· Ensure minibar areas and equipment are clean, functional, and in proper working order.
· Maintain organized storage areas for minibar stock, following proper handling and safety procedures.
· Report low stock levels and assist in placing orders to maintain consistent supply.
· Conduct regular inventory counts in line with hotel policy and reconcile with sales data.
· Communicate effectively with housekeeping, room service, and front office teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
· Handle guest inquiries and feedback in a professional and service-oriented manner.
· Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures in accordance with local regulations and hotel standards.
· Attend all required training sessions and follow Forbes/AAA service guidelines.
· Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as directed by management.
· Support fellow colleagues with flexibility and a team-first mindset.
· Perform other duties and attend meetings as assigned by hotel/department leadership.
Education & Experience:
· Minimum 1 Year experience as a Minibar attendant in a luxury hotel environment or similar guest service role.
· Knowledge of minibar operations, inventory control, or retail merchandising is an advantage.
· Understanding of Forbes Travel Guide, AAA Five Diamond, LQA, or equivalent service standards preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to use POS systems and accurately handle postings.
· Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certifications (as applicable).
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
· Ability to read, write, and converse in English; additional languages are a plus.
· Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
