Compensation: $16.50 to $18.00 per hour, plus tips

Position Overview:
At The Wildbirch Hotel, as our Security Guards, you will be responsible for patrolling and monitoring assigned areas, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and property. You will respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. They are responsible for greeting guests, helping in wayfinding and orientation, ensuring each guest enjoys an exceptional stay in Anchorage. The role requires handling guest inquiries and guest support in an efficient, warm, and professional manner.

A valid work authorization for the USA is required - Please note that we do not provide any visa sponsoring for the listed role.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned areas, both internally and externally, to ensure safety and security.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and respond promptly to alarms and security incidents.
  • Enforce security protocols, including access control, visitor management, and emergency procedures.
  • Provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities and observations.
  • Identify and address potential security risks and hazards.
  • Collaborate with other security personnel and staff members to maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintain a visible and active presence to deter potential threats.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Physical & Availability Requirements:

  • This role requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting of light materials.
  • The hotel operates 24/7, and availability for shifts on weekends, holidays, and nights is expected.
