Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and in accordance with recipes and presentation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and receiving of kitchen supplies
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Assist in menu development and seasonal specials
- Handle kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef;
- European trained, 5*, high volume background is very important.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations
- Leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holiday
