Who you are:
The Bartender is a professional well-versed in the culinary art of crafting cocktails and coffee beverages. You will be expected to utilize your extensive knowledge of the history and origins of ingredients and their ability to understand flavour profiles to develop palate pleasing beverages. You will have studied and committed to memory most major classic and cocktail combinations, wine growing and varietal details, beer brewing and fermentation processes, coffee recipes, blend and roasting notes.
Duties and responsibilities related to the Host role:
Welcome guests by being approachable, enthusiastic, professional, and hospitable in presence and demeanor
Elevate the guest experience by anticipating guest needs, identifying their preferences and adapting the style of service accordingly
Possess strong product knowledge of spirits, wine, beer and coffee that is demonstrated by one's ability to speak on the subject; being able to influence and inspire
Comfortable engaging with guests while preparing orders or crafting beverages; adding personal flair and finesse during execution to create an air of intrigue and wonder
Adaptable to steps-of-service variations between service periods and fulfilling service requirements to meet our guest's needs
Correct use of POS system to record transactions, adhering to all company standards and policies
Processing bills and taking payment while following cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies
Use given empowerment to handle guest concerns with minimal supervision
Possesses a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed
Provides bar and table maintenance, delivers food and beverages to tables/bar seats/rooms, and support bartenders, baristas and other associates as required
Ensure food and beverages are presented with an exceptional level of detail prior to and upon delivery to guests, adding visual and artistic flair to captivate and entertain
Prepares garnishes, restocks products and maintains bar cleanliness to standard
Maintains daily inventory of spirits, beers, wine and coffee to ensure stock maintenance. Reporting any discrepancies or issues with availability of products
Ensure every restaurant and hotel guest leaves with fond memories by providing a unique and exceptional experience
Any other duties as assigned by leadership to support the guest experience

Collaborative: focused on the success of the team, not the individual; genuinely willing and able to assist others in any capacity that may be required
Speed & Efficiency: can confidently and quickly respond to guest requests by prioritizing tasks appropriately between execution and operational tasks; leveraging strong product knowledge and cocktail/coffee crafting skills to deliver orders in a timely manner, all while maintaining a clean and organized environment
Salesmanship: speak informatively and intelligently about our food and beverage offerings, as well as hotel amenities, as a way of leading guests towards a decision that will satisfy their wants and needs at that moment; this includes and is not limited to topics of interest regarding the design, product identification or distinction of spirits, wine, beer and/or coffee
Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-paced environment
Minimum of 2 years’ experience bartending in a full-service restaurant
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to carry, move and lift items weighing up to 25lbs, must be able to stoop and bend, twist or turn to perform essential job functions
Must be able to stand, walk and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
Current and valid Smart Serve Certification
