Duties and responsibilities related to the Sales Manager – Business Travel role:

Be knowledgeable of the local market, national companies, market trends, competition, and customers, while also understanding the competitive landscape and effectively work to secure business that meets or exceeds revenue expectations and profit goals.

Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat clients using multiple channels, such as through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, written communication, and client entertainment

Capture the client’s vision and effectively convey the specifications to appropriate departments, rapidly responding to inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring an exceptional client experience and seeding future sales.

Connect with people in a meaningful way, continually innovating to expand the reach with key corporate, business, and travel industry accounts, tapping into community organizations and the media to elevate your hotels' market share awareness and driving further business.

About you

The Business Travel Sales Manager will be responsible for pursuing and growing our business travel accounts portfolio. Heavy emphasis will be expected on proactive solicitation and account saturation within local and national corporate accounts. Use exceptional customer service skills to develop relationships with customers directly and with the assistance of the Director of Sales & Marketing, Hyatt Sales Team and Hyatt Global Sales Offices. The individual will understand the overall market competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand and know how to sell against the competition. 

The ideal candidate will have business travel sales experience and a proven track record.
