We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all hotel equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently. You’ll assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the property’s facilities—helping to provide a safe, comfortable environment for our guests and team members.

General Hotel Maintenance & Operations: Report to work on time and in full uniform. Plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, and cosmetic items. Operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality. Clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel. See that all tools used are returned to the shop and secured in proper storage area. Protect and otherwise maintain your assigned tool pouch and its tools at the discretion of the Engineering Management. Read, log, track, and interpret readings from meters, gauges, and other measuring units. Maintain a thorough log of each day's activities and problems that occur and ensure this information is passed on to other shifts. Keep accurate completion and task records in the project files. Clean all engineering areas as directed by Engineering Management. Primary HVAC & Split System Service: Serve as the primary subject matter expert for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining all aspects of standard split-system A/C units, air handlers, heat pumps, and condensing units across the property. Execute mechanical and electrical diagnostics by analyzing operating pressures, superheat, subcooling, line temperatures, and electrical draw to identify and resolve system failures or performance issues. Perform routine preventive maintenance on split systems, including coil cleaning, blower assembly servicing, condensate drain clearing, airflow balancing, filter management, and electrical component inspections (contactors, capacitors, relays, and control boards). Perform leak detection, system evacuations (pulling deep vacuums), refrigerant recovery, and precise charging according to manufacturer specifications and federal EPA guidelines. Maintain complete and accurate refrigerant tracking logs in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Diagnose, repair, and calibrate thermostats, low-voltage control circuits, and hotel room climate controls. Safety, Energy & Emergency Response: Monitor systems as necessary, to be fully informed of system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems. Serve as the primary engineering response for critical HVAC equipment failures to swiftly restore cooling or heating and minimize guest disruption. Be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect our guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during emergencies. Act as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status and inform Engineering Management of any such emergencies. Have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems. Observe and analyze energy and utilities usage in the hotel and on the grounds, actively looking for ways to conserve energy and reporting ideas to Engineering Management. Be aware of all existing departmental Job Safety Analysis, strive to work in an accident-free manner, and create a safe work environment for others. Continuously look for conditions which may endanger associates or guests of the hotel and take immediate action to correct any hazardous conditions found.
