Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring a safe and efficient operation. This position is crucial to supporting our restaurant and culinary team in delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the dishwashing machine safely and efficiently, ensuring all dishes, silverware, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Organize and stack dishes properly, pre-soaking silverware as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors regularly, ensuring that they remain clean and dry by promptly addressing any spills.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including walls, tables, racks, sinks, floor mats, and disposal areas. Polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Follow a cleaning schedule to clean ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, steam tables, flat boxes, and ceiling vents.
• Empty trash cans when they are over 3/4 full, clean them, and return them to the kitchen.
• Perform special cleaning projects as assigned by the lead steward.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain the mop station with the necessary cleaning supplies, including mops, buckets, brooms, and cleaning solutions.
• Cooperate with restaurant personnel to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and guests receive prompt service.

Qualifications:

• Education: No formal education required; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
• Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate a dishwashing machine, handle dishware, and perform floor maintenance.

Physical Guidelines:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6-8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must be able to work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
