Mailroom Clerk

Our Hyatt Vacation Club at The Welk location in Escondido, CA is looking for a Seasonal Mailroom Clerk to join their team!

*This is a seasonal position for approximately 3-4 months.*

Pay: $19/hour

Schedule: Full-time/5 days per week, must be open to weekends

Position Summary

Responsible for facilitating the flow of large volume inbound and outbound packages, inter-office mail, driving company vehicles, and maintaining supplies.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and distribute courier packages using SendSuite shipping system.
• Prepare and ship daily courier packages and inter-office packages using SendSuite shipping system.
• Receive, sort, and distribute inbound mail.
• Process outbound mail with correct postage for class of mail used.
• Distribute office supplies, memos, and circulars.
• Perform fulfillment work such as folding and stuffing kits and premiums.
• Maintain storage rooms in neat and orderly fashion.
• Responsible for the collection of recyclable paper and re-supply of copier paper.
• Change toner cartridges in copiers as needed.
• Handle requests for office supplies and minor copier maintenance tasks.
• Report inoperable copiers to management for service request.
• Perform bank runs and errands as needed.
• Perform runs to Warehouse and Call Center buildings as needed.
• Prioritize work schedule.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Abilities, And Skills

• Must possess a minimum of one year mailroom or similar experience.
• Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
• Must be able to work flexible hours such as over time.
• Must be able to drive company vehicle.
• Must be able to use computer programs such as e-mail, shipping system, and data entry.
• Must be cognizant to their surroundings.
• Must possess a professional demeanor.

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, sitting, pushing/pulling, manual dexterity (writing, typing, fingering, handling). Must be able to comfortably lift a weight of 50lbs. to bench height of approx. 40”.
