General Manager (m/w/d) for Croatia (PreOpening)

What you will be doing

Responsibility for the overall operational workflows and processes of the hotel, ensuring efficient, smooth, and quality-oriented management.

• Personnel Management: Lead the team by example as a practical and results-oriented role model.
• Employee Motivation: Actively foster high motivation among employees.
• Maximizing Occupancy: Proactively manage the optimal occupancy of room capacities at the highest possible rates by utilizing all market-relevant tools, distribution channels, and systems toghether with our Revenue Management.
• Guest and Staff Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for guests and employees, representing the hotel to the outside world.
• Inquiry Management: Oversee, control, and ensure the proper handling of incoming offers and inquiries, ensuring they are customer-oriented, competitively priced, and processed promptly.
• Development and Implementation: Create and design market-relevant arrangements and ensure their practical implementation.
• Revenue and Cost Analysis: Prepare revenue and cost analyses and evaluate the data and facts.

You will lead the entire hotel team as a charismatic leader and manage the daily operations. In this role, the primary focus will be on driving the hotel's occupancy through constant sales activities. It’s also crucial that you understand how to work with determination within the team, continuously challenging and supporting employees. You will be present and accessible to your team, embodying the role of the host/hostess.

The ideal candidate for this position

• Strong Professional Background: Your solid foundation in European hospitality through both education and experience equips you with the expertise needed to excel in a leadership role
• Project knowledge: Experience in managing a hotel residential project is a definite plus and advantageous, but not absolutely necessary
• Hotel Opening: You bring solid experience in hotel pre-opening and support all involved departments with your expertise
• Proven Leadership Skills: With significant experience in leadership positions, you know how to motivate and guide a team towards achieving organizational goals.
• F&B Expertise: Your extensive experience in the food and beverage sector allows you to ensure the highest quality service and operational efficiency.
• Empathy & Assertiveness: You balance assertiveness with empathy, knowing when to lead firmly and when to listen and support your team.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: You approach challenges with a strategic, business-oriented perspective, always looking for opportunities to improve and grow.
