What you will be doing:

The Barista Supervisor effectively leads and oversees the Coffee Shop operations including scheduling, training, and inventory. Should be a service minded, provides operational planning to ensure appropriate teaming levels are met, adequate products ordered, safety and sanitation standards met, and ensures all concession areas have proper displays and merchandise.

  • Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards.
  • Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
  • Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Train, supervise, develop, counsel employees in accordance with Crescent policies and procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs. Serve customers quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that team members can locate resources and product as needed.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Properly handle and maintain all equipment
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.
  • Ensure consistency of product and service.
  • Maintain inventory logs.
  • Promote repeat customer service through establishing quality service and food.
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Perform in the capacity of any position supervised.
  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Deal with guest complaints or requests.
  • Report on Coffee Shop status to Direct Manager weekly.

What is required:

  • 2 years experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Six months to one year in a supervisory position.
  • Must be able to schedule, forecast, and budget department.
  • Read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to problem solve quickly
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
  • Certified Food Handler
