Job Description

Position Summary: Responsible for welcoming guests and assisting them with check-in and check-out procedures through their entire stay.

  1. Deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service.
  2.  Assist in greeting and checking in guests.
  3.  Possess knowledge of hotel products and services.
  4.  Handle all guest issues in a courteous and efficient manner ensuring problem resolution is satisfactory. 
  5.  Act as guest's personal concierge by possessing knowledge and accommodating any outside entertainment, dining, and activities for guest convenience.
  6.  Respond and report guest inquiries in a timely fashion. (Escalate guest inquiries to a supervisor as needed.)
  7.  Adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards.
  8.  Complete all brand standard training for the front office and adhere to brand standards.
  9.  Ensure company policies are adhered to, relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing including timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
  10.  Ensure daily arrival of VIP's, special request rooms, long stay guest room are pre-blocked in advance. Work with Housekeeping to ensure each room is prepared with appropriate amenities.
  11.  Work with housekeeping and engineering to block rooms as necessary for maintenance.
  12.  Work collectively with other front desk agents and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  13.  Process all financial matters in accordance to departmental procedures and in a secure manner.
  14.  Perform any additional tasks as requested by management.

Requirements

Education: High school education or equivalent experience.

Experience: Hospitality experience preferred. 

Hours required: Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends.

  • Knowledge and ability to operate a computer and reservation system.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 20 lbs.

121 Room Hotel

Hyatt Centric Fort Lauderdale, currently under construction is slated to open in 2020. The 238 modern-designed guest rooms will occupy the first 15 floors of this multi-story high-rise condo-hotel building –121 luxury condominiums are for sale on the 16th floor and above. The hotel amenities will include 8,500 sq. ft. restaurant with a large exterior patio space at lobby-level, an indoor/outdoor bar seating area on Las Olas Blvd, an elevated pool with views of Las Olas River, 6,000 sq.ft. of meeting and banquet space, 24-hour valet service and an onsite parking garage. Its downtown location will provide its guests and residents with a wide array of activities, including the plethora of upscale shopping and dining, easy access to the white sandy beaches of Fort Lauderdale and Miami, as well as having the arts, culture and entertainment at their fingertips.
