Job Responsibilities for a Maintenance Technician:
Repair and replace wallpaper
Paint Walls, Caulking
Rebuild or replace mechanical equipment in guestrooms
Leave rooms in the same clean condition as when entered
Vehicle Safety Checklist
Utility Meter Readings
Exterior Clean Up
Check Light Bulbs
Check Emergency and Exit Lights
Clean Mechanical Rooms and Maintenance Shop
Pool Care and Monitoring
Keep up-to-date all current information regarding your department, as well as other departments
Attend all Department and General Meetings
Know all emergency and safety procedures for the hotel
Never give out any guest or associate information
Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the maintenance department, as well as, the whole hotel
Communicate with the Chief effectively regarding the engineers, ongoing issues, and foreseen issues.
Assist in training and development of the engineers.
Monitor the inventory of all supplies and ensure the engineers are keeping the areas in a clean and organized manner.
Ensure the engineers are following protocol on the PM carts.
On a weekly/monthly basis remove and replace signoff sheets for the pool, water heaters, dryer vents and fire extinguishers. Completed sheets need to be placed in the proper binder.
Follow up and spot check on work lists provided by Chief.
On a weekly basis, follow up with all departments to ensure the functionality of their equipment and any concerns they may have. Communicate the findings to the Chief and discuss resolutions.
On a weekly basis walk the inside and outside of the property, making a list of opportunities needing to be addressed. Communicate the findings to the Chief and discuss resolutions.
